The strategic challenge

Building something that will matter for generations

What we did: Concept & naming · Visual identity · Print · Campaign materials · Digital & animation

The design challenge

The Macmillan Unit in Christchurch has been caring for people at the end of their lives since 1974. Soul midwives, bucket list wishes, families who stay as long as they need to, this is a place that makes the most of the time people have left, with extraordinary tenderness.

Patient referrals have tripled in ten years. A new hospice is needed. And a capital appeal needs something people can hold onto, a name, an image, a sense of momentum.

The Solution

Brick by Brick gave the campaign exactly that. A simple, human idea: that every donation, however small, is another brick in something that will matter to this community for generations. We developed the name, identity and all supporting materials, collection tins, t-shirts, brochures, door to door leaflets, banners and a digital campaign with animation tracking fundraising progress as it came in.

We are proud Golden Partners of Macmillan Caring Locally. Some work you do because it matters most.
